Need To Know

Under FSMA, you are now legally responsible for the safety of your supply chains.  There are seven new rules in this category that you need to find out about.  One ruling is that you must store, on your premises, multiple documents from each vendor.

Stop That Line!

Training line employees can be very frustrating.  We know.  We have two ideas that may help.

Try short training periods instead of long classroom sessions or long sessions watching videos.  Go out to the line and explain stuff.

Would you consider giving line employees the power to stop a line if they see equipment getting damaged, drips, leaks, broken glass etc?

Preventative Controls

To get ready for the final FSMA ruling which should be soon, if you don’t already have preventative controls, start working on them, because they will be the foundation for the rest of your FSMA compliant plan.  You need to have controls to protect your finished product, ingredients, containers, etc.  You need to have controls to clean your equipment.  You need to train your employees (see last weeks blog).  The list goes on and on.
