Old FDA vs. New FDA

If you have gotten used to or know your FDA investigator, if and when he or she shows up again, they will surprise you.  it will be a whole different deal.

Under FSMA, now, the FDA investigator will be using a systematic method of assessing systems.  They will be looking at your programs (HACCP) and how they flow.  They will be looking at your food safety program (PCQI).  They will be interviewing your people to ascertain their food safety knowledge.

The old FDA is gone where they take samples and leave.

Bad Bug Book

Check out FDA’s “Bad Bug Book”.  It’s good.  But, it might be a little “heavy” in some areas.  And then it’s funny because it’s light in others.

 

Our idea for you is to have your key personnel read a chapter that you designate once per month.

Listeria Detection
